Only 1 in 27 remote jobs is open to people in Ireland

On 22 October 2026, 1,561 of the 42,920 remote jobs listed on Remotejobify (4%) were open to people in Ireland. How we check.

Today we read 42,920 open remote jobs, straight from companies’ own job boards, and checked who each one is actually open to. For people in Ireland, most “remote” jobs are out of reach.

What we found

Only 4% of remote jobs are open to people in Ireland. That’s 1,561 of 42,920.
About 1 in 3 only hire in the United States. 16,850 jobs, plus 1,786 more open to the US and just one or two other countries.
Many more hire in a single other country. 16,583 are open in one country that isn’t Ireland or the US.
“Work from anywhere” is rare. Only 371 jobs, about 1 in 116, are open to anyone, anywhere.
125 jobs are open only to people in Ireland. The rest of the 1,561 name Ireland alongside other countries, or a region that includes it, such as Europe or EMEA.
Pay is mostly hidden. Only 254 of the 1,561 show a salary, 89 of them in euros.
Some roles are more open than others. About 7% of security jobs are open to Ireland, and 6% of product jobs, but only 2% of finance and legal ones.
403 companies are hiring people in Ireland remotely. 246 of these jobs were posted in the past week.

How we counted

We read each job from the company’s own job board, including its location and description, and work out who it’s open to. A job counts as open to Ireland if it names Ireland, a region that includes it, like Europe or EMEA, or says you can work from anywhere. A job that doesn’t say counts as not open. These numbers are from today’s list, 22 October 2026, and change as jobs open and close.
