Role Overview:
We are seeking a mid- to senior-level DevOps Engineer. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to improve system performance, drive DevOps best practices, and ensure high availability through automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate closely with development teams to design, build, and deploy reliable and scalable systems while advocating for DevOps practices.
* Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous integration, automated testing, and continuous deployment of applications.
* Monitor system performance, conduct capacity planning, and implement optimizations to improve system reliability and performance.
* Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to proactively detect and address potential issues, ensuring the high availability of applications.
* Automate manual processes and tasks using scripting and automation frameworks to improve efficiency and reduce human error.
* Implement infrastructure as code practices, leveraging tools like Docker, Ansible, Terraform, or similar technologies to manage and version infrastructure configurations.
* Conduct root cause analysis for production incidents, identify remediation strategies, and implement measures to prevent future occurrences.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and QA, to drive the adoption of DevOps principles and ensure a smooth software delivery process.
* Participate in on-call rotations to respond to critical incidents and ensure system availability outside of regular business hours.
* Continuously evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and practices to enhance the DevOps and SRE capabilities of the organization.
Key Skills and Competencies
* 6+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer
* 4+ years of recent experience with AWS
* Experience with Monitoring & Alerting (preferably with Site24x7)
* Experience in configuring and maintaining monitoring for infrastructure and applications.
* Experience in creating and managing alerting policies, thresholds, and escalation workflows.
* Experience in monitoring system availability and performance, troubleshoot alerts, and optimize monitoring to reduce false positives.
