Full-Stack Web Developer (Security + OCR)

* About the role:
* We are looking for a developer who can take prototypes to a secure, scalable, production-ready product along side maintenance, bug fixes, & feature additions post launch.
* Current stack:
* React & Node.js on Vercel + Supabase
* Core work:
* Audit & lock down security — this is the #1 priority.
* Build an OCR pipeline that extracts structured data from images/documents into a secure database
* Refactor existing prototype for scale and reliability without unnecessary rewrites
* Must have:
* 3+ years shipping production React + Node.js applications
* A portfolio of shipped web apps — share links and a short note on your role and what you built
* Real security experience — auth (OAuth2/JWT), input validation, rate limiting, secrets/env hygiene, encryption at rest & in transit, OWASP Top 10 awareness, and genuinely understanding how apps get breached
* Hands-on OCR / document data-extraction experience (Preferably experience with tesseract)
* Strong backend fundamentals — API design, PostgreSQL data modeling, async job processing
* Scaling fundamentals — caching (Redis), queueing, horizontal scaling
* Comfortable on Vercel + Railway and modern CI/CD
* Strong English, written and verb
* Nice to have:
* Security audit / pentest awareness
* Infrastructure-as-code, monitoring and observability
* Experience migrating off PaaS toward more scalable infra when warranted
