The Role
We're looking for talented Junior Backend Engineers in Latin America to join our engineering team and help build the infrastructure powering EOS's AI platform.

This is an opportunity for early-career engineers who have strong computer science fundamentals, enjoy solving technical challenges, and are eager to grow while working on real-world engineering problems.

You'll contribute to backend services and infrastructure supporting AI model integrations, request routing, APIs, usage tracking, and enterprise controls.

You'll work alongside experienced engineers, gaining exposure to backend architecture, distributed systems, and emerging AI technologies while building products used by companies at scale.

You'll collaborate closely with engineering and product teams in San Francisco while working remotely from Latin America.

What You'll Do

* Develop and maintain backend services powering EOS's AI platform.

* Build and improve APIs and integrations with AI providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google.

* Contribute to systems for AI model routing, request processing, and workload orchestration.

* Help build features for tracking AI usage, managing costs, and controlling access to different models.

* Work with databases, external APIs, and third-party integrations.

* Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-tested code.

* Troubleshoot issues and improve the reliability and performance of backend services.

* Collaborate with senior engineers to understand technical challenges and implement solutions.

* Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and engineering best practices.

What We're Looking For

* 1–3 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in backend development.

* Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving.

* Familiarity with at least one programming language such as Rust, Go, C, C++, Python, Node.js, or TypeScript.

* Basic understanding of backend development, APIs, and software architecture.

* Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.

* Understanding of asynchronous programming, concurrency, and fundamental software engineering concepts.

* Ability to learn quickly, take ownership of assigned tasks, and work through technical challenges.

* Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.

* Motivation to grow as an engineer and contribute to a technically challenging environment.

* Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written.

Bonus Points For

* Experience with Rust, Go, or C++.

* Familiarity with AI-powered applications or LLM integrations.

* Exposure to APIs from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, or other AI providers.

* Familiarity with backend infrastructure, distributed systems, or cloud technologies.

* Experience building personal projects, open-source contributions, or technical side projects.

* Competitive programming experience or participation in programming competitions.
