Our work spans classification and compensation, organizational and operational studies, research and program evaluation, economic and workforce analysis, surveys and community research, and applied data and infrastructure research.
We engage experienced practitioners as project-based collaborators. Engagements are remote-first with occasional client travel. AlphaGov is engaging Brownfield Environmental Engineers and EPA Brownfield Grant Administrators for current local-government work. Live pursuits include Phase I/II brownfield assessments with redevelopment planning, and administration of an EPA Brownfield Assessment grant.
We confirm scope, schedule, and fee with you before any engagement begins.
What you'll do
- Conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ASTM E1527/E1903)
- Prepare cleanup alternatives and redevelopment plans
- Manage EPA brownfield cooperative agreements: ACRES reporting, quarterly reports, QAPPs, and budgets
- Run community engagement and site inventory/prioritization
- Contribute qualifications and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals when you authorize naming

Requirements
Required
- At least 5 years of professional experience in brownfield assessment or EPA brownfield grant administration
- Experience with EPA Brownfields cooperative agreements and ACRES
- Comfortable as a 1099 project-based consultant
Nice to have
- PE or PG license (needed for assessment work)
- Environmental Professional per AAI rule
- New York or New Mexico experience
