About the role
This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Next.js Developer at Makai Labs. The Senior Next.js Developer will be responsible for front-end web development. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative solutions that enhance user experiences and drive business outcomes.
Qualifications:
* 5+ years of experience in web development, with at least 3 years using Next.js.
* Solid experience working from a fully remote position.
* Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.
* Relevant experience with using Tailwind/Material Ul/Joy UI
* Familiarity with RESTful APls and modern authorization mechanisms.
* Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX).
* Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
* Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication in English, especially in remote and asynchronous environments
* High degree of autonomy, accountability, and follow-through
* Experience using AI-assisted development tools effectively is a plus
Responsibilities:
* Develop new user-facing features
* Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
* Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
* Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability.
* Write robust, clean, and documented code.
* Maintain and enhance existing web applications.
* Conduct performance tests and ensure responsiveness and stability across all platforms.
