WIL is seeking an Economic Development Planner to lead local and regional economic development strategies and plans.

Opportunity type: this is a contingent proposal opportunity in WIL's expert collaborator network, not a funded vacancy. It supports a competitive grant application WIL is preparing; no award has been made, and there is no guaranteed work or funding. If an award proceeds and the staffing model calls for it, WIL may offer a project-based contract or consulting engagement. We will ask before naming you or including your resume in any proposal.
What you'll do
* Lead local or regional economic development strategy and planning
* Analyze economic, industry, and labor-market data
* Facilitate stakeholder engagement with public, private, and community partners
* Identify priority projects and investment opportunities
* Define implementation steps and performance measures
* Contribute qualifications and past-performance narrative to WIL proposals when you authorize naming

Requirements
Required
* Experience leading economic development plans or strategies for local or regional organizations
* Economic and labor-market analysis skills
* Stakeholder facilitation experience
* Strong plan and report writing
* Comfortable as a project-based contract collaborator; remote US
Nice to have
* Comprehensive economic development strategy (CEDS) experience
* AICP or CEcD
* Prior federal economic development grant experience
