Financial Analyst, Senior - Mining

Key Responsibilities

* Support the preparation, consolidation, and analysis of monthly management reporting packages, quarterly financial statements, and annual financial reporting in accordance with IFRS
* Assist in preparing Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) disclosures, technical accounting assessments, audit working papers, and IFRS accounting analyses
* Partner closely with Corporate Accounting and site finance teams to improve the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of financial information and reporting processes
* Serve as an internal IFRS technical resource and provide accounting guidance to operational finance teams
* Support external reporting requirements, including filings for TSX Venture Exchange, Nasdaq, and other regulatory reporting obligations
* Prepare supporting schedules, variance analysis, and reporting documentation for internal and external stakeholders
* Collaborate with operational and project teams to analyze mine development, construction, and exploration expenditures
* Support ERP and financial systems initiatives, including SAP S/4HANA implementation activities, financial reporting enhancements, and internal control improvements
* Participate in ad hoc financial analysis, process optimization initiatives, and strategic projects
* Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the financial reporting function to support a growing mining organization

Qualifications & Experience

* Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline
* CPA designation required
* 3–6 years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience
* Previous experience within the mining industry strongly preferred
* Strong understanding of IFRS accounting standards; exposure to US GAAP considered an asset
* Public accounting experience, particularly within a Big 4 mining practice, is considered a strong asset
* Experience supporting publicly traded company reporting requirements considered an asset
* Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
* Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across technical and operational teams
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and evolving environment
