WIL is seeking a Program Director for national service to direct a program that places members in schools and communities to deliver education, workforce, and community services.

Opportunity type: this is a contingent proposal opportunity in WIL's expert collaborator network, not a funded vacancy. It supports a competitive grant application WIL is preparing; no award has been made, and there is no guaranteed work or funding. If an award proceeds and the staffing model calls for it, WIL may offer a project-based contract or consulting engagement. We will ask before naming you or including your resume in any proposal.
What you'll do
* Direct program design for member recruitment, training, placement, and supervision
* Develop service-site partnerships with schools, nonprofits, and public agencies
* Build member development and pathways from service to employment
* Oversee member eligibility, timekeeping, compliance, and grant reporting
* Define performance measures and evaluation plans
* Contribute qualifications and past-performance narrative to WIL proposals when you authorize naming

Requirements
Required
* Experience directing or managing a member-based national service or service-year program
* Experience recruiting, training, and supervising members or volunteers across multiple sites
* Knowledge of federal grant compliance and performance reporting
* Partnership-building with community organizations and service sites
* Comfortable as a project-based contract collaborator; remote US
Nice to have
* Prior national service program director or grantee experience
* Former national service member
* Workforce or education program background
