Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer to architect and build the scalable data infrastructure powering our real-time insights, predictive systems, and dynamic generative AI applications.
We need a true builder—someone whose expertise extends far beyond standard data migrations. The ideal candidate will take enterprise data lakes and warehouses out of their latent, static states and transform them into active, low-latency backends for real-time, agentic AI applications. As a product-minded technologist, you will translate business needs into elegant technical solutions, establish engineering best practices, and lay the foundation for a world-class data organization.
Working cross-functionally in a 50/50 Tech and Creative environment, you will have significant autonomy in technical decision-making and play a pivotal role in shaping our data strategy, engineering standards, and team culture.
Responsibilities
* Architect & Activate Data: Design, build, and scale high-throughput, low-latency data infrastructure connecting cloud data lakes/warehouses to dynamic AI backends and real-time agentic workflows.
* Transform Latent Stores: Operationalize static data repositories into active context layers, vector engines, and memory systems for autonomous AI agents and downstream applications.
* Real-Time & Event-Driven Pipelines: Build real-time ingestion, event-driven streaming, and retrieval pipelines (RAG, vector stores, operational databases) to feed live AI applications.
* Technical Leadership & Standards: Establish data architecture standards, CI/CD, documentation, and data quality best practices while mentoring data engineers.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Machine Learning Engineers, Product teams, Creative Directors, and agency stakeholders to translate client and business requirements into production-grade data APIs and schemas.
* AI-Enabled Engineering: Leverage AI-powered coding, agentic engineering, and modern automated workflows to accelerate development and execution.
Qualifications and Job Requirements
* 5+ years in Data Engineering: Demonstrated experience designing, building, and scaling data pipelines and cloud infrastructure from the ground up.
* Beyond Data Migrations: Proven track record of activating data infrastructure for dynamic, real-time downstream applications rather than focusing solely on batch ETL/ELT or static warehousing.
* Agentic & Real-Time AI Backends: Direct experience building data layers for real-time, event-driven applications, vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Qdrant, Milvus, pgvector), or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) at scale.
* Deep Cloud Expertise: Strong experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and modern cloud data stacks (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery). Bring your opinions on what works and what doesn't!
* Core Technical Stack: Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing, real-time pipeline construction, and close collaboration with ML teams.
* AI Workflow Mastery: Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools, agentic coding, and automated engineering workflows.
* Leadership & Communication: Track record of mentoring engineers and setting engineering standards. Exceptional communication skills suited for a hybrid Tech/Creative culture.
* Located in Latin America.
* Fluent in English.
What We Offer
* 100% Remote Work: Enjoy the freedom to work from the location that helps you thrive. All it takes is a laptop and a reliable internet connection.
* Highly Competitive USD Pay: Earn an excellent, market-leading compensation in USD, that goes beyond typical market offerings.
* Paid Time Off: We value your well-being. Our paid time off policies ensure you have the chance to unwind and recharge when needed.
* Work with Autonomy: Enjoy the freedom to manage your time as long as the work gets done. Focus on results, not the clock.
* Work with Top American Companies: Grow your expertise working on innovative, high-impact projects with Industry-Leading U.S. Companies.
Why You’ll Like Working Here
* A Culture That Values You: We prioritize well-being and work-life balance, offering engagement activities and fostering dynamic teams to ensure you thrive both personally and professionally.
* Diverse, Global Network: Connect with over 600 professionals in 25+ countries, expand your network, and collaborate with a multicultural team from Latin America.
* Team Up with Skilled Professionals: Join forces with senior talent. All of our team members are seasoned experts, ensuring you're working with the best in your field.
