Your Role in Our Mission
You'll be joining our core engineering team to build a flagship mobile application from the ground up. As a Android Developer, you'll play a foundational role in shaping the Android experience through a fully native Jetpack Compose presentation layer, powered by Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) for shared business, networking, and data logic. You'll bring strong Android engineering fundamentals, a product-minded approach, and a passion for clean architecture to build high-quality applications that deliver seamless experiences across different Android devices.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Build & Innovate
* Develop and maintain high-quality native Android applications using modern Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
* Contribute to building a flagship mobile application from the ground up, helping shape its architecture and technical direction.
* Build flexible, responsive layouts that adapt seamlessly across phones, foldables, and tablets.
Cross-Platform Development & Integration
* Integrate and contribute to shared Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) modules for business logic, networking, and data management.
* Work with third-party APIs, libraries, and services to deliver robust application functionality.
* Collaborate with iOS/Swift engineers to ensure consistency and alignment across mobile platforms.
Performance & Engineering Excellence
* Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code, following principles such as KISS and Separation of Concerns.
* Optimize Jetpack Compose performance by managing recompositions, implementing efficient Lazy lists, and improving application launch times.
* Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve performance and application stability issues.
* Maintain high engineering standards through rigorous code reviews, constructive feedback, and quality-focused pull requests.
Product Collaboration
* Partner with product managers and UX/UI designers to translate product requirements and designs into intuitive mobile experiences.
* Participate in Agile development practices, contributing to planning, execution, and continuous improvement.
* Stay curious about emerging technologies and contribute to the evolution of our mobile engineering practices.
What You Bring
* A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
* 4+ years of professional Android development experience, with a proven track record of shipping and maintaining production applications.
* Strong practical knowledge of Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android SDK, and Material Design 3 guidelines.
* Experience with modern Android architecture patterns such as MVVM or MVI, with the ability to separate UI state from core business logic using Coroutines and Flows.
* Experience consuming RESTful APIs and WebSockets, and working with asynchronous data flows using tools such as Ktor or Retrofit.
* Hands-on experience building modern Android App Widgets using Glance or traditional RemoteViews.
* Proficiency with Git and modern dependency management practices, including Gradle Kotlin DSL and Version Catalogs.
* Strong coding skills, moderate algorithmic problem-solving ability, and a commitment to clean code principles and maintainable architecture.
* Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, participate in code reviews, and communicate technical decisions clearly.
* A growth mindset and willingness to explore and learn parts of the Apple ecosystem when required.
Your X-Factor
* Hands-on experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP/KMM) or previous experience developing native iOS applications.
* Experience building custom graphics and charts using Compose Canvas, including K-line charts, curves, and pie/bar charts.
* Familiarity with AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor, with the engineering rigor to test, audit, and take ownership of AI-generated code.
* A product-first mindset and the ability to build intuitive, performant, and user-focused mobile experiences.
Your Journey after Applying
* 30 minute HR interview with the Talent Acquisition team member
* Assessment stage
* 45 minute Problem Solving Interview
* 60-minute Bar Raiser Interview
