We are seeking a QA Automation Lead with strong experience in backend API testing to support a leading Life Insurance client. The ideal candidate has hands-on expertise with Playwright and JMeter, can lead QA strategy and execution, and has experience delivering quality solutions within Agile environments. Experience supporting Canadian banks or financial institutions is highly preferred.

* Lead QA strategy, planning, execution, and reporting.
* Design and execute automated API test cases using Playwright.
* Perform performance and load testing using JMeter.
* Validate REST APIs and backend services.
* Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners.
* Track defects and ensure high-quality software releases.
* Support Agile development and continuous improvement initiatives.
* 5+ years of QA Automation experience.
* Strong experience with Playwright and JMeter.
* Experience with backend/API testing (REST services).
* Knowledge of Agile methodologies and SDLC.
* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Nice to Have
* Experience in Life Insurance or Financial Services.
* Experience working with Canadian banks.
* Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, SQL, and CI/CD pipelines.
