Legal Transcriber
Remote | Independent Contractor | Federal Contract
eScribers is seeking 30 experienced legal transcribers to support a federal contract. This is a remote, independent contractor opportunity for reliable professionals with strong transcription, grammar, punctuation, and listening skills.
Required Qualifications
To be considered, applicants must:
* Be a U.S. citizen residing in the United States.
* Possess a REAL ID or current, valid U.S. passport.
* Be willing to undergo a Public Trust background investigation.
* Have a Windows-based computer running Windows 10 or later.
* Have an active, current version of Microsoft Word.
* Have at least two years of transcription experience.
* Type at a minimum of 55 words per minute.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* Demonstrate excellent grammar and punctuation skills.
* Have exceptional listening and comprehension skills.
* Commit to transcribing at least 200 audio minutes per week.
* Maintain consistent access to a reliable, high-speed internet connection.
* Have a compatible USB foot pedal, such as the Infinity IN-USB-2 or IN-USB-3.
Compensation and Contractor Details
* Transcribers are paid by the page at competitive rates.
* This position is classified as an independent contractor opportunity.
* Contractors are paid weekly by direct deposit after submitting timely invoices.
* Additional bonus opportunities may be available.
