Scientific Evals (Part-Time, Contract)

These activities span various aspects of the research process, including information synthesis, hypothesis generation, and designing and interpreting experiments and data. You likely qualify if you:

* Have a PhD or are pursuing one in Biology or a related scientific field (other advanced degrees considered)

* Can devote 5+ hours per week to working with us.

* Have an interest in driving the acceleration of discovery forward using AI.

Responsibilities

* Annotating or evaluating outputs from AI systems doing scientific work.

* Generating or reviewing tasks for evaluating AI systems carrying out scientific tasks.

* Completing similar evaluation tasks as human experts for baselining.

* Interacting with Edison’s tools in various capacities.

Note: This is part-time, 1099 contract work, not a full-time position. Compensation is structured per-deliverable rather than hourly, with rates set to average ~$100/hr. Exact pay varies by project and will be shared when each task is assigned. Potential candidates can be located anywhere, including outside of the U.S.
