WIL is seeking a Hospital Finance Consultant for rural hospitals to help rural and critical access hospitals improve financial performance through revenue cycle, cost reporting, and reimbursement technical assistance.

Opportunity type: this is a contingent proposal opportunity in WIL's expert collaborator network, not a funded vacancy. It supports a competitive grant application WIL is preparing; no award has been made, and there is no guaranteed work or funding. If an award proceeds and the staffing model calls for it, WIL may offer a project-based contract or consulting engagement. We will ask before naming you or including your resume in any proposal.
What you'll do
* Lead financial assessments of rural hospitals
* Deliver technical assistance on revenue cycle, cost reporting, budgeting, and reimbursement
* Develop improvement plans and coach hospital leadership teams
* Coordinate subject-matter consultants and peer-learning sessions
* Track hospital financial performance metrics
* Contribute qualifications and past-performance narrative to WIL proposals when you authorize naming

Requirements
Required
* Experience in rural or critical access hospital finance, operations, or technical assistance
* Knowledge of Medicare cost reporting and reimbursement
* Revenue cycle and financial performance-improvement experience
* Experience training or advising hospital leaders
* Comfortable as a project-based contract collaborator; remote US
Nice to have
* CPA, FHFMA, or CHFP
* CFO or COO experience at a rural hospital
* Experience with hospitals in the Appalachian region
