We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Australian Accountant VA to support Australian clients with day-to-day bookkeeping, payroll, compliance, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate has experience working with Australian accounting standards, GST, BAS, payroll, and cloud-based accounting software.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
* Perform bank, credit card, and GL reconciliations

* Process payroll, STP, and superannuation
* Prepare BAS, IAS, GST, and PAYG reports
* Maintain accurate financial records and month-end close
* Prepare financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
* Liaise with clients and external accountants
* Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and ATO requirements
Required Skills
* Australian bookkeeping/accounting experience
* Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks Online
* BAS, GST, STP, Payroll, Superannuation
* Bank reconciliations
* Financial reporting
* Microsoft Excel
Has knowledge using the CRMs below:
* Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks Online
* Dext or Hubdoc
* Employment Hero or KeyPay
* Karbon, Xero Practice Manager (XPM), FYI Docs
* HubSpot, Salesforce or Zoho CRM (preferred)
Soft Skills
* Strong attention to detail
* Excellent communication
* Time management
Requirements
* Reliable internet connection with backup option preferred.
* Quiet and professional work-from-home setup.
* Available to work full-time on a PH dayshift schedule.
