PostgreSQL Database Engineer

The position implies working hand-by-hand with the various technical teams to build and support reliable and scalable solutions at Altenar.

The responsibility area requires a deep understanding of data structuring and experience in developing and administering PostgreSQL and some experience with MS SQL databases or Mysql.

Responsibilities:

* Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL databases
* Optimize database performance through query optimization, indexing, and tuning
* Monitor and troubleshoot database-related issues and provide solutions (Prometheus, Zabbix)
* Work with developers to ensure database design meets application requirements
* Manage database security, backup, and recovery procedures
* Collaborate with other IT professionals to implement database solutions
* Support highly-available systems in constantly growing workload environments
* Continuously updating core knowledge and skills in the RDBMS area
* Contributing and maintaining documentation for the solutions provided

Requirements:

* From one year of experience in RDBMS administration
* Hands-on experience with Ansible/terraform for cluster deployment and management

* Expertise in SQL query optimization, performance tuning, and monitoring
* Experience in supporting high-loaded systems
* Experience in configuring PostgreSQL for the performance patterns
* Experience in building CI\CD
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other team members
* B2+ English
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
