Job description

From Shadow Light Studios’s job post, as they wrote it.

About the Role

Feel Your Soul and Jacob Zander are hiring a Narrative Short-Form Storyteller to turn long-form video (vlogs, brand content) into scroll-stopping short-form stories for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. You'll be the editor who finds the story inside raw footage and shapes it into something that performs.

What You'll Do

* Cut long-form video into multiple short-form variations for A/B testing and performance optimization

Read the full description

* Edit in Premiere Pro with strong narrative pacing and structure
* Build light motion graphics in After Effects to enhance storytelling
* Apply sound design that elevates the emotional pull of each edit
* Iterate based on what's performing across platforms

What We're Looking For

* Proven experience editing short-form content, ideally in a narrative/storytelling style
* Strong command of Premiere Pro; working knowledge of After Effects for motion graphics
* A clear understanding of sound design as a storytelling tool, not just polish
* Comfortable testing multiple cuts/hooks to find what performs best
* Based in the US or South America

Compensation & Growth

This role starts as a part-time arrangement (per-video rate) with a path to a full-time retainer position. (~$2,000/month)

Real opportunity for growth as the role and workload scale.

Our Hiring Process

1. Apply here
2. Complete a paid assessment (compensated if selected)
3. Final interview

We're excited to see your work. Apply now.
