The Role

We’re looking for a Strategy & Planning (S&P) Analyst who sits at the intersection of strategy and data. Partnering closely with the S&P Manager, CFO, and CEO, you’ll help leadership answer the company’s most important business questions, and you’ll build the data foundation that makes those answers possible.

On the strategy side, you’ll dig into what’s driving performance, uncover opportunities and risks, and turn your analysis into clear recommendations that shape executive decisions. On the data side, you’ll audit, consolidate, and enrich AirDNA’s core data across Growth, Finance, Marketing, and Customer Support to create a single source of truth for the business.

This is a great opportunity to shape both how AirDNA sees its data and what it does with it. We’re looking for a hands-on who takes initiative, brings their own ideas, and owns projects from the first question to the final recommendation.

Here's what you'll get to do:
Strategy & Insights

* Partner directly with the CFO and CEO on high-impact strategic questions, turning complex analysis into clear, actionable recommendations.
* Proactively identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities across the business, including questions leadership hasn’t asked yet.
* Support planning, forecasting, and performance reviews, helping leadership understand what’s working, what isn’t, and why.
* Lead your own strategic initiatives end to end, from scoping the problem to presenting the recommendation and following it through.
* Partner cross-functionally with Growth, Finance, Marketing, and Customer Support to align on KPI priorities and close data gaps.

Data Foundation

* Audit and map existing data tables across Finance, Growth, Marketing, and Customer Support.
* Design and build a unified master table architecture that consolidates cross-functional data into a single source of truth.
* Create executive dashboards in Sigma or similar BI tools that surface real-time KPIs for leadership.
* Automate reporting workflows using SQL, Python, AI-based tools, or BI-native scheduling, freeing up time for higher-value strategic work.
* Ensure data quality and governance by reconciling discrepancies across systems, and document data lineage, logic, and dashboards in Confluence.

Here's what you'll need to be successful:
2+ years of experience in a data-driven, analytical role (e.g., strategy, BizOps, FP&A, consulting, or business intelligence). Strong SQL proficiency (complex queries, joins, window functions, CTEs) across databases like Snowflake, PostgreSQL, or Redshift. Strategic mindset: you care as much about what the data means and what we should do about it as about how to query it. Initiative and ownership: you don’t wait to be told what to analyze. You form a point of view, bring ideas, and drive your own projects forward. Executive communication: you can translate complex analysis into a clear story and recommendation for leadership and non-technical stakeholders. Experience using Hex, Sigma, Power BI, or similar. Advanced Excel/Sheets skills are a given. Collaborative and low-ego: you build trust quickly and thrive working cross-functionally. Accountable and adaptable: you meet deadlines and reprioritize fast in a high-growth environment. Hungry to grow: coachable, curious, and excited to scale AirDNA through better insights. Bonus points: familiarity with ETL tools (dbt, Airflow, Fivetran), AI tooling (Claude, Zapier), or experience with Amplitude, Stripe, or HubSpot.

Hiring process
Stage 1: Initial screen with Kadriana Lopez (30 minutes)
Stage 2: SQL deep dive with Hiring Manager, Luis Noack (45 minutes)
Final round: Case study presentation with CFO, Henrik Hartmann (1.5 hours)

You are also eligibile for our annual discretionary incentive bonus program (based on company and individual performance).
