Key Responsibilities

* Demonstrate expertise in primary accounting and VAT frameworks, assisting other team members as their primary point of contact and reviewing their work where appropriate;
* Lead and oversee key accounting projects;
* Assist in the onboarding of new clients;
* Overseeing all aspects of the team’s work, ensuring high levels of quality, efficiency and client satisfaction;
* Monitoring team performance and be involved in target setting;
* Managing team workflows, workloads and deadlines;
* Mentoring and supporting other team members in their growth and development;
* Collaborating with other departments, including audit, payroll, funding and corporate, and identifying opportunities for departmental cross-selling;
* Assessing and proposing improvements to systems and processes;
* Identifying opportunities for the unit’s growth;
* Supporting the Senior Client Accounting Manager with additional tasks as required
* Working against deadlines and delivering in a timely manner
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Maltese languages. Knowledge of a third language is considered a plus
* Working on your own initiative and in a team, with a pro-active approach
* Building relationships with clients and having a passion for delivering exceptional service
* ACCA qualified or equivalent
* A minimum of 2 years experience in a CSP environment following achievements of qualifications
* Excellent command of accounting standards, Maltese VAT and tax legislation
