Commercial Solicitor — NQ–2 PQE

Accuflex has a great opportunity for a talented and motivated Solicitor (NQ–2 years PQE) with commercial contracts experience to join our client’s in-house legal team in London. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with senior lawyers, taking responsibility for day-to-day commercial matters and supporting company secretarial work.

The role is an initial six-month assignment starting in January 2027, with the possibility of a permanent position, subject to business requirements and headcount approval.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Contract Drafting and Negotiation: Draft, review and negotiate NDAs and a range of general commercial agreements, including IT contracts.

2. Company Secretarial Support: Assist with company secretarial and corporate governance matters, helping maintain accurate documentation and records.

3. Advice and Support: Provide clear, practical legal advice to internal stakeholders on everyday commercial matters.

4. Risk Management: Identify contractual and legal risks, recommend proportionate solutions and escalate matters where appropriate.

5. Matter Management: Take ownership of routine matters, manage competing priorities and work alongside senior lawyers on more complex queries.

Required Experience:

1. Qualified Solicitor, approximately NQ–2 years PQE, with relevant commercial experience gained in private practice or in-house.

2. Experience drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, including NDAs and preferably IT or services agreements.

4. A sound understanding of English contract law and the ability to apply it practically in a business environment.

5. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and commercial judgement.

6. A proactive, collaborative approach, with the confidence to progress matters and recognise when senior guidance is needed.

For newly qualified applicants, relevant training seats, secondments and practical responsibility will be taken into account.
