Position: Corporate Lawyer
Number of hours: 15-20 hours/week
Time Zone: Singapore, flexible hours

Task Required:

* Prepare the appropriate legal documents for borrowers, shareholders, and management.

* Evaluate new business partnerships with vendors and subcontractors. Covering NDAs, commercial contracts, and review of regulatory frameworks.

* Represent the company as Chief Legal Counsel.

* Design and oversee the company’s policy and position on legal matters.

* Protect the company against legal risks and violations.

* Examine the legal issues related to new products, services, and jurisdictions.

* Negotiate deals on behalf of the company.

* Guide management on regulatory and compliance issues to ensure compliance with legal regulations.

* Other ad hoc tasks that would be assigned

Requirements:

* Ideally from University of the Philippines or other top tier law school 7+ PQE - Post-Qualified Experience

* Asia/multijurisdictional experience (has covered corporate finance and loan agreements across multiple countries)

* Banking, Finance, Loan Documentation experience is a must.

* Experience from both a law firm and bank/credit fund

* Experience in FinTech start up or Financial Technology company is a plus

* Understanding of MAS Funds Management regulations is a plus

* Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

* Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.

* Outstanding managerial and negotiation skills.
