Senior Java Developer
About the role:
We are Optiveum, a trusted IT recruitment and contracting agency. Currently, we are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to join the team of our client—a dynamic and forward-thinking company operating in the financial sector, specifically within the Cards Technology domain.

Key Details:
* Rate: Up to 140 PLN/h
* Work model: Hybrid (3 days a week from the office)
* Location: Warsaw, Gdańsk, or Gdynia
* Contracting party: Optiveum (we sign the cooperation agreement with you)
Responsibilities:
* Designing, developing, and maintaining Java applications that support core business services.
* Collaborating closely within an Agile team and ART (Agile Release Train).
* Working with various internal and external stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions.
* Troubleshooting and resolving issues in existing applications.
* Optimizing application performance and ensuring the highest standards of code quality.
* Creating technical documentation for developed functionalities.
Must-have Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in Java Software Development.
* Solid, hands-on experience with Java (8+), Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and SQL.
* Practical knowledge of microservices architecture, clean code principles, and continuous integration.
* Good understanding of REST API design.
* Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Bitbucket, Jenkins).
* Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum/SAFe methodologies.
* Advanced proficiency in both Polish and English.
Nice to have:
* Experience in C++ development.
* Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) is a significant advantage.
* Familiarity with test automation concepts, tools, and best practices.
* Knowledge of Kafka and/or Spring WebFlux.
* Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
* Front-end development experience with JavaScript, Angular, or React.
* Previous experience in the financial industry.
