Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and implement robust data pipelines and solutions on the Snowflake Data Cloud platform.
* Architect scalable and secure data solutions tailored to client needs, leveraging Snowflake’s advanced features.
* Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes for large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and processing.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders, to deliver business-critical data solutions.
* Ensure best practices in data architecture, security, and performance tuning within the Snowflake environment.
* Lead and mentor junior engineers, fostering growth and technical excellence within the team.
* Stay abreast of Snowflake updates, emerging technologies, and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.
* Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring high availability and reliability of systems.
Qualifications
Essential:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a focus on Snowflake.
* Proven expertise in designing and implementing data architectures on Snowflake.
* Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, or other relevant programming languages.
* Proficiency with ETL/ELT tools such as DBT, Matillion, or Informatica.
* Strong understanding of data modelling, warehousing concepts, and cloud architectures.
* Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Preferred:
* Advanced Snowflake Architect Certification.
* Experience with Snowflake features such as Snowpipe, Time Travel, and Data Sharing.
* Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security best practices.
* Strong communication and leadership skills with a proven ability to drive projects to completion.
