JOB OVERVIEW:
An experienced Senior Software Engineer who builds and ships production-grade distributed systems. This is a hands-on delivery role. You will work within an established architecture, own your features end to end, and solve complex engineering problems as part of a strong team. Ideal for someone who wants to write code and deliver, not manage or set direction.

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
Engineering & Delivery
* Design, build, test, and ship features and services within distributed systems built for scalability, resilience, and maintainability
* Own assigned work from design through to production, including deployment, monitoring, and support
* Debug and resolve complex technical issues across services and environments
* Write clean, well-tested, well-documented code that follows the team's engineering standards
Collaboration & Technical Contribution
* Contribute to design and architecture discussions with practical input on trade-offs and constraints
* Take part in code reviews, both giving and receiving feedback
* Work closely with product and engineering teams to break down requirements and deliver against the roadmap
* Flag technical risks and suggest improvements to tooling, frameworks, or workflows where relevant
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
* Strong experience with modern cloud environments such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
* Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
* Proficiency in at least one backend or systems-focused language such as Go, Rust, Java, or Python
* Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly through documentation and collaboration with teammates
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* 7+ years of software engineering experience
* Proven experience building and running large-scale distributed systems in production, including:
* Microservices architectures
* Event-driven systems
* Cloud-native platforms
ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS:
* Experience working in high-availability or regulated environments (e.g., fintech, healthcare, IoT platforms)
* Familiarity with observability frameworks, platform security design, and DevOps practices
* Experience contributing to major platform upgrades, migrations, or modernization initiatives
* Exposure to Python-based web frameworks, specifically Django
