Residential Elevator Mechanic
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Employment Type: Full-Time
A residential elevator company in the Phoenix, AZ area is seeking a skilled Residential Elevator Mechanic to join its team. This position will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of residential elevator systems. Responsibilities
* Install, service, maintain, and repair residential elevator systems.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational issues.
* Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operation.
* Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, manuals, and technical documentation.
* Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards, company procedures, and applicable codes.
* Communicate professionally with homeowners, contractors, builders, and team members.
* Provide accurate updates regarding service issues, repair recommendations, and project status.
* Maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas in a clean and professional manner.
* Complete service documentation, work orders, and job-related paperwork accurately and on time.
* Work independently in the field while representing the company professionally.
Qualifications
* Prior experience installing, servicing, or repairing elevators, lifts, or related mechanical/electrical equipment preferred.
* Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
* Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently.
* Comfortable working in residential homes and construction environments.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications.
* Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
* Ability to lift, carry, bend, climb, and perform physical work as needed.
* Elevator, lift, or related trade experience is strongly preferred.
