How to tell if a European or Canadian company will hire you from the US

“Canada only”, “EU only”, “must be based in Europe” or a list of European countries means no.
“North America”, “Americas”, “US or Canada”, “worldwide” or “anywhere” in the location can mean yes.
Many hire people in the US as contractors: you send invoices and pay your own taxes. Some use an employer of record, a US company that employs you for them.
Check the hours. A team in Europe may want you online early in your morning.
